Evangeliska Frikyrkans (EFK) ordförande, Stefan Swärd, efterlyser teologer som arbetar med den "verkliga" världen som för honom är ekonomi och politik. Så låt mig då ge ett tips (jag har bara orkat ögna igenom artikeln jag här tipsar om...). Men en intressant teolog från England - Phillip Blond - har lanserat begreppet "red toryism" för att komma bortom både vänster - högerskalan och en liberal markandsekonomi.

Idag är det nationaldag. Vad är det vi firar? Det är något ambivalent över att fira en nation. Låt mig bjuda på en intressant intervju med Greg Boyd som skrivit boken "The Myth of a Christian Nation" - det handlar om USA - men skulle lika gärna kunnat handla om Sverige. Det passar väl på en nationaldag.

Hmmm ... vad är det nu evangeliet går ut på ...?

Kim Fabricius has a nice piece on writing in a little comment to a recent discussion on F&T about the way Barth changed as he was writing his dogmatics and a famous remark from Foucault concerning writing:

13You are the salt of the earth; but if salt has lost its taste, how can its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything, but is thrown out and trampled under foot. 14You are the light of the world. A city built on a hill cannot be hid. 15No one after lighting a lamp puts it under the bushel basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all in the house.

In a previous blog I introduced Gerhard Lohfink’s suggestion that wholeness is the key to the Sermon and in another I gave his arguments for this claim. But what about the arguments for Matt 5:48 being about wholeness? Does “perfect” (teleios) mean “wholeness”?

Undivided loyalty to God also entails… undividedness towards the neighbor.
